Our preschool schedule, the fun version

A day at Angel's

Kids do their best growing when the day is predictable. Scroll along the crayon line and follow one whole day, from the first hello to the last quiet story. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening.

7:30

Doors open, play begins

Free play and center activities while friends trickle in. Blocks, babies, puzzles, whatever the morning calls for.

8:15

Breakfast together

Bathroom break, hands washed, and a warm breakfast around the table. Good mornings start with full bellies.

9:00

Circle time & calendar

The whole crew gathers on the rug. What day is it? What is the weather doing? What is our theme this week?

9:30

Art, science, music & movement

Paint, experiments, songs, and wiggles. The messy half hour that ends up on the fridge at home.

10:00

Snack break

Bathroom break and a healthy snack. Apples never stand a chance.

10:30

Big moves

Free play, centers, and large motor time. Running, climbing, balancing, and getting the sillies out.

11:00

Seat work for little hands

Tracing, cutting, and pasting. Real fine motor practice that feels like craft time, because it is.

11:30

Alphabet, numbers & shapes

Letters, counting, and shape hunting, taught through games and songs. This is where kindergarten-ready comes from.

12:30

Lunch time

A nutritious lunch through the USDA food program, plus one more round of free play before the lights go low.

1:00 to 3:00

Nap time

The blinds close, the room goes quiet, and everyone recharges. Even the sun takes a break.

3:00

Wake up, snack up

Slow wake-ups, a bathroom break, and an afternoon snack to power the home stretch.

3:30

Afternoon play

Back to free play, centers, and large motor fun. The afternoon belongs to the builders and the pretenders.

4:30 to 5:30

Quiet play & pickup

Puzzles, books, and calm corners while grown-ups arrive. Everyone goes home tired in the best way.
